Motel Rocks

I looked at this dress around Christmas time and nearly bought it to wear over the festive season at some point, but I never got round to it. It caught my eye again, and I was looking for a birthday dress so I thought why not and actually got it this time.

Motel honey mini dress, £48

However, it didn't fit very well as the bra straps showed at the back, and it came down to low at the front. You could wear it without a bra...but I don't have the assets for that! So I sent it back, and I'm going to swap it for this beauty:

Motel Amanda playsuit in green, £48

I reeeeeeally hope this one fits nicely!!!!!

Topshop...you've done it again

So as well as spending a meer £90 (aaaaaah) on my hair today. I also then thought it'd be a great idea to buy myself some new clothes...even though I don't really need any of them. (But it is my birthday a week on Tuesday so I've decided I'm allowed.)

Here's what I bought:

Foil textured drop back vest, £22 and petite wet look leggings, £22.

Animal print midi dress, £28.
All Topshop.

Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you nice hair and new clothes....and that makes fran a very happy girl!

Friday nights are all about staying in...

It's too cold and miserable out there at the moment for queuing up in skimpy outfits to get into clubs. Therefore I've become much too acquainted with cosying up on the sofa or in my bed and watching rubbish television. Tonight, these are my partners in crime...sweet popcorn, reveal magazine and galaxy caramel mini eggs which are DELICIOUS. Get them in your life.

Was feeling a bit down earlier as I didn't get the grade I wanted for my dissertation proposal and it's got me doubting whether I'll be able to do as well as I want to do this year. However, it has also motivated me to work a lot harder.

Also missing home and my family a lot recently, can't wait to see them next week but it's going to be horrible saying goodbye again!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. x

That's a wrap

I am so in love with Love's wrap dresses. I regularly check their website and have purchased lovely things from there before. Recently though, this dress caught my eye:
Love wrap dress in coral, £32.
I love the colour and wanted to wear it for my birthday but unfortunately they didn't have my size :(
But because I love the style so much, I instead went for this colour:

Love wrap dress in hyacinth, £32.
My friends say they prefer this colour, but I'm still not sure. I do love it but coral just screams out at me. Hopefully when it arrives it'll look as nice as it does online! I'll keep you posted.

Pretty purple

Models Own nail polish in Magenta Pearl and Purple Ash

Boys striped tank, £22, Miss Selfridge

I've had my eye on this top for a while so had to buy it yesterday before it disappears from shops. It's simple, but effective ;)
Looks great with jeans too.

Budget Splurge!

Ok, this post is a little overdue but I haven't had time to take many photos lately. But today I have!
These are some of the beauties I've picked up recently at really reasonable prices, so I'm pretty chuffed with myself!
I needed to fill my wardrobe with some day time items, as I'm constantly buying going out clothes....whoops!

Take a peek:
Burnt Orange Jumper, £14.99

Leopard Print Collar Top, £12.99

Bodycon Jersey Pencil Skirt, £12.99

Stone Eagle Top, £8.99
All Internacionale

Black Sheer Maxi Skirt with Split, £17, Miss Selfridge

So far, I've only worn the jumper out of this lot but can't wait to wear the rest. I was pleasantly surprised by cheap shop Internacionale!

Jeffery Campbell on a budget?

I would love some real Lita boots but with my student budget I can only dream. These, however, are under £40 and still just as fashionable as the real deal.

£35.99 Missguided

The future's bright, the future's....SCARY

I'm about to embark on my last EVER term at university. Although this excites me, it also makes me shudder with nerves and quite frankly makes me want to vomit!

On the one hand I can't wait to be fully independent and have a place of my own that I can share with people I actually want to live with and don't constantly have to clean up after. (Well...one can hope)
I can't wait to be earning a proper wage for the first time in my life and start saving and planning for things I've always wanted to do.
I can't wait to meet someone and have a grown up relationship where you go out for dinner and talk about work. You can even do the 'your place or mine' line as there will actually be a place for said date to go back to! (Not sure why I wrote this point down as I'm probably going to live alone with cats forever and ever)

I absolutely love journalism and I genuinely do not know what else I would've done if I hadn't come to uni to study it for three years. It's cemented my ambitions to work in the world of media one way or another, and no matter how many people or news reports tell me I won't end up getting a job to do with my degree......ONE DAY, I will!
This past year has also further sparked my passion for London. I worked at Reveal Magazine for a week in the summer, and being able to go to an office just off of Oxford Street was quite simply amazing. It's where I need to be, and I will get there.
I'm also going to America this summer to work at a summer camp for 8 or 9 weeks and then travel afterwards. I've always been fascinated by the States but I could never afford to go there just on a whim, so this way I get to work and live over there for a bit.

Sounds like I've got it all planned out right? SO wrong!

I may know what I want to do, and I've got plans for the summer, but this doesn't mean it's all going to work out. When I come back from America I will literally feel lost. It's like starting all over again but this time I'll be completely alone!
Before now, I've sort of known exactly what to do. You go to school, you stay on and do your A levels and then you go to Uni. Up until then you're practically guaranteed to get where you want just by studying hard and passing those crucial exams.
But in the real world, it's all age, appearance, personality, knowledge and experience. What if I never have enough experience for the job I want to go for? What if I never even get to the interview stage?! I can kiss goodbye to living in London!

My family keep telling me not to worry, and that I'll get there and it'll all be fine. But the more I think about it the more I worry if I really will be fine. I don't want to be 25 and still searching for a job I actually enjoy.

Life is a funny thing, you can never predict what will happen and I guess that's part of the fun. But at this stage of my life I really just wish someone could give me a hint in to whether things are going to go bad or good....? Please?

London London London

So on Tuesday I went to London because we took my mum to see Jersey Boys as a Christmas treat. It's a musical based on Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and it was brilliant! Definitely recommend it. That's another musical crossed off my ever-growing list :)

Oxford Street
Prince Edward Theatre
Jersey Boys Set

Now, we all know you can't go to LDN without doing a spot of shopping and although I could have spent hours in the huge Topshop, I only splashed out on one thing:

Supersoft wet look Leigh jeans by MOTO at Topshop, £40

These are really skinny black jeans but have a shine on them so they can easily be dressed up or down. They're so tight I call them my spray on jeans!
