Barefoot Wanderer.

Felt a bit like a hippie in this outfit today, it's very floaty! Especially walking around with no shoes on, peace and loveeee everyone. (I did put shoes on when I left the house though. Just to clarify)

It's been pretty hot this week, and it was quite warm today but bloody windy! I've had a pretty busy week and we're taking my brother and his friends to Legoland tomorrow for his birthday...am I still allowed to enjoy it at 21?! I'm just really hoping it doesn't rain, so keep your fingers crossed please!

Marmie wanted to get in on the action, isn't he a beaut.

Need to crack on with some work this weekend as I have an interview next week and I really want to impress them! I need to go through the tabloid press and find some stories that the company could sell to magazines, I then need to come up with 3 features of my own to pitch to the people interviewing me. I'm pretty nervous but I've done stuff like this for 3 years at uni, I just need to do a good job!! Wish me luck...it's on Wednesday!

Hello Sun.

That's more like it June...a bit of sunshine and blue skies! Today was beautiful weather and I made the most of it by sunning myself aaaallll day. I had a job interview in the morning as a trainee journalist, I was actually more nervous than I thought I would be but it went well! (I think) I find out in a couple of weeks if I have a second interview. Anyway, this is what I wore for it and I teamed it with a soft cotton blazer to look smarter.

I love this dress, it was bought nearly a year ago now from Republic and I've worn it a lot which is unusual for me as I get bored easily! I wear it for nights out, meals out and in the daytime because it can be so easily dressed up or down. It's really comfy and flatters my petite frame.

I'm not sure the heat's going to last, we'll probably go back to rain tomorrow. I'm staying over at my sister's tomorrow night and helping to look after my three week old niece...think I'm going to need lots of sleep tonight in preparation!! (cute baby pictures to follow of course)

Stipes and Scarves

Dress, Primark. Scarf, Vintage. Boots, Internacional. Ring & Necklace, Topshop.

So I've been trying to do that thing which a lot of bloggers do...where two pictures appear as if they are one. This has been my best attempt but it's still not quite right! Any of you know any good apps or websites to do it on? Help is much needed!

Summer Days.

This is a photo-filled post today as I've been testing out my new Nikon D3000 camera. I highly recommend it if, like me, you're a bit of an amateur at professional photography. If you have it on the automatic setting all you have to do is zoom to where you want it, and the camera sorts out the rest: focus, lighting and quality. It has lots of other setting for when you're a bit more advanced, but for now automatic is good enough for me.

The sun made a reappearance today and yesterday, so I took full advantage of it by sunbathing and hitting our local beach..which you can see by the pictures is beautiful in the sun:

Necklace: River Island, Top: Topshop Sale, Hotpants: Ark, Pumps: Topshop.

Floral Obsession.

I don't think I've worn a pair of fitted trousers since school, and usually I much prefer to buy shorts or leggings...but I saw these in Topshop on Saturday and have not got them out of my head since!!

Petite Floral Ankle Grazers, £40.

Normally I steer well clear of things like this because I don't think I can pull them off, and usually they're not really my taste. But I cannot deny I have fallen madly in love with them and even though I have no job and shouldn't be spending any money, I think I may have to buy them in the next few weeks. They'd be perfect to wear to work if I ever do get a job though! (So that's my excuse!)
Basic White Peplum Top, £16.

I've also been wanting a peplum top for a while too. I really like that this style is in fashion because for petite girls like myself it adds curves, which is always a good thing. I spotted this white top in store too and thought it would look perfect with the trousers, or even wet look leggings and heels for a night out. I thought the price wasn't too bad either!
Studded Ankle Boots, £24.99.

And these are also on the wish-list. I was in New Look having a browse, and I realised I hadn't bought anything in there in ages and that maybe I was going off it a bit. But then I saw these boots in black and tried them on. They're exactly what I've been looking for to wear in the daytime as flat shoes and pumps can get a bit boring. These add a bit of height, are really stylish and very comfortable. I'm hoping they'll be in store for a while so I can hold off until I get some money and then buy them!

So this is my current lust-list...what's yours?

Little purchases.

Looking at my phone last night before bed, I was getting excited over the impending sunshine and 17 degree heat that was supposedly coming today. And sure enough as I woke up, sunshine was making its way through my blinds, so naturally like a true Brit I grabbed my shorts and fake tan. After non-stop rain, you have to make the most of these rarities!!

Star Culottes, Lipsy.

Bit over-ambitious with my skimpy outfit...it really wasn't that hot. So I couldn't resist this summer sweater from H&M, £29.99.

Also been eyeing this up for a while and it was Buy one get one Half Price at Boots.
Models Own in 'Utopia' and 'Ibiza Mix', £5 each.

Trio of Rings, £3.99, H&M.

So yes, I know I said I wasn't meant to be spending money...and I really am not seeing as I'm completely unemployed right now. But not shopping makes me sad so I thought I'd treat myself. Let's just hope the stuff I'm selling on eBay gets me some money to make up for it!!

Shoes glorious shoes!

I think Missguided is fast becoming my favourite online women's store. It's always had good stuff on there at reasonable prices, and now because it's becoming more and more popular- everything's getting better and better!

They're completely up to date with the latest trends and the prices are still affordable.

I've been trying to stay away from clothes websites as I can't spend any money, but they keep posting pictures of their gorgeous new shoe range on Facebook, so I couldn't resist and had to check it out.

These are my top 5....which took a lot of deliberation because there's so many I'd consider buying if I had the funds!!

1. Synda Chunky Platform Shoes, £40.99

2. Sezzy Suede Chunky Platform Shoes, £40.99

3. Zeya Suede Ankle Strap Flatforms, £26.99

4. Lukka Studded Platform Boots, £44.99

5. Jowell Contrast Sole Suede Brogues, £26.99

At the moment, there's a total of 335 pairs of wonderful shoes to look through. I'd say that makes it almost impossible not to find at least one pair you fall in love with! If you haven't already...check it out.

Weekend Update.

Hello all. I'm watching the last ever episode of Desperate Housewives and feeling very emotional! What am I supposed to do with my Sunday evenings now?!

Anyhow...an update for you all. I'm feeling much better today and have had a nice weekend with my family. My mum even treated me to these shoes on Saturday which I lurrrrve.

Black Studded Slippers, £20, Peppermint.

We went for a drive out to Broadstairs today for the most amazing food!! Highly recommend Restaurant 54 if you're ever in the area.

This week has been far too long, far too emotional and far too full of drama. Let's hope this week is a bit calmer.

I'm also getting ridiculously bored of filling in job applications so can someone just offer me an amazing job in London already please?!!

Roller Coaster Week.

This has felt like the longest week in a long while. I only moved home on Sunday and it feels like I've been here ages. These past few days have been a real strain on my family's emotions. My sister was due to give birth on May 21st but she had to be induced on Monday...and the baby still didn't want to come out! It took until Tuesday evening and in the end she had to have a c-section which was a bit of a blow after all the pain and waiting. However, I now have the most beautiful little niece I could have ever wished for. She is perfect.

And as they say...as one life begins another one ends. That seemed to be the case this week as my grandad sadly passed away yesterday. It wasn't a complete shock as he had been very ill for a while and was getting worse by the day, but it's never easy to say goodbye to a loved one. Rest in peace grandad x

I now have no grans or grandads...so appreciate your oldies!

Before the sad news, I went shopping with the girls to pick some baby clothes. I was feeling happy knowing I was finally an aunty and wore my sequin topshop jumper that hasn't been out my wardrobe in ages!

The weather is awful at the moment so summer clothes are definitely a no-no. Let's hope it picks up soon.

Gold Sequin Jumper, Topshop

Watch, Michael Kors. Black Leather Shorts, Topshop.

Baby Nell :) One day old.

A Right Royal Weekend

So this Jubilee weekend saw the end of life in Lincoln for me...I officially moved out and handed my keys in on Sunday. I thought I was OK, but saying goodbye to my housemates set me off and I drove half the way home depressed and crying.

However, I'm feeling much better now I've unpacked my room and managed to fit everything back in. I've had a lovely couple of days with my family and....I became an Aunty for the first time around an hour ago :D I haven't met my little niece yet, I have to wait until tomorrow but I'm so excited I don't think I'll sleep tonight!

So it's been a very exciting and hectic few days and here's my bank holiday in pictures:

Kent girls came to Lincoln for my last night out/Empty uni room :( /Old family photo I found at home, weren't we cute/Eating an ice cream in the car while it rained!/Pretty flower mum found on our walk/Sleepy Ralph after his walk/Loving my new bowler hat

Hope you all had a good bank holiday :) Long live the Queen!

Time to shop for pretty dresses!

My graduation isn't until September but I got a bit excited about buying a nice dress that I can wear to the ceremony in the day, and to the evening ball...so I started looking a few weeks ago. I hadn't really seen any that I liked enough to buy, but then I spotted this in Warehouse:

Embellished Bodice Soft Prom Dress in Coral, £85.

I'm quite petite so I thought it would be too big, but actually it fitted really nicely:

I only tried it on to get an idea of whether I liked it or not, but now I'm in love with it! And then I found out even better news...until June 4th, Warehouse are hosting a Jubile Swap Shop where you can get 20% off of any full priced item just by taking in an old item of clothing! That means I can get this beauty for only £68! I'm definitely going to keep it for other occasions, I think it'd be lovely to wear for a summer wedding.

Do you likeeee?
